There\u2019s been a lot of chatter<\/a> lately around artificial intelligence (A.I.) and blockchain technology. Are those terms a lot of empty hype, or do companies really want tech pros well-versed in those arenas? PointSource<\/a>\u2019s most recent Digital Transformation Study has some interesting findings on that front. When it asked organizations about their preparation to \u201ceffectively use\u201d four technologies \u2013 voice-activated, blockchain, A.I., and facial recognition \u2013 only 55 percent said they were ready to leverage voice services. Around 46 percent said blockchain was a possibility for them, while 47 percent said A.I. was something they could implement. Only 41 percent are prepared to weave facial recognition into their stack. When asked if the four incoming technologies were \u201ccurrent initiatives,\u201d 73 percent reported voice-activated services were in their pipeline; 64 percent say blockchain is coming, while 66 percent are looking to implement A.I. at some point.
