It is also possible they have some front-end skills, but overlap with back-end is generally more important.<\/p>   \n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">   \n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-software-engineer-front-end-or-web-developer\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Software Engineer<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">(Front-End or Web Developer)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>   \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n <li>HTML, CSS<\/li>\n <li>Javascript (Including JavaScript frameworks like Ember.js, Angular.js, Backbone, etc.)<\/li>\n <li>Ruby on Rails, Python or Django, PHP, ASP<\/li>\n <li>Flash, Actionscript (Used to create Flash animations)<\/li>\n <li>Photoshop<\/li>\n<\/ul>   \n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator Python, Perl, Ruby or shell scripting (aka Bash or Unix)<\/li>\n <li>Potentially other languages as well<\/li>\n <li>SQL knowledge<\/li>\n <li>Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Munin, Splunk, Zabbix, etc.<\/li>\n <li>Experience with one or more cloud service providers, such as AWS, Rackspace, OpenStack, etc.<\/li>\n <li>Operational best practices for deployments, releases and maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>   \n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">   \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-system-administrator\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: maintenance<\/li>\n <li>Experience with internal IT, such as VPNs, printers, IP-based phones, tech support, etc.<\/li>\n <li>Experience setting up and backing up servers and databases<\/li>\n<\/ul>
